How Scrap Metal Pickup Works
We aim to make scrap metal removal simple and straightforward. Here’s how the process works.
1️⃣ Contact Us
Reach out to us by phone, text, email, Facebook, or through our website.
When contacting us, please include:
• A brief description of the metal items
• Photos if possible
• Where the items are located (yard, garage, inside the home, etc.)
• Your city or neighborhood
We typically respond within 1–3 business days.
Photos help us determine whether the pickup qualifies for free removal.
2️⃣ Review & Confirmation
After reviewing the details, we may ask for additional information or photos to better understand the job.
If the items are:
• Easily accessible
• Not labour intensive
• Contain enough scrap metal to make the trip worthwhile
• Or located along an existing pickup route
then the pickup will usually qualify for free removal.
We will confirm the day we plan to be in your area and schedule the pickup.
3️⃣ Pickup Scheduling
Free pickups are often scheduled along our regular service routes.
This means you may sometimes need to wait 1–2 weeks until we are in your area.
If a pickup is required immediately or is outside our normal route, a $30 pickup fee may apply to cover travel costs.
4️⃣ Scrap Metal Removal
On the scheduled day, we will arrive and remove the scrap metal items.
For most free pickups, the metal simply needs to be placed outside in an accessible location such as:
• A driveway
• Alley
• Yard
• Garage
No one needs to be present if the items are easily accessible.
THE PROCESS
Additional Services
Disassembly Services
Some items require additional labor to safely remove.
Examples include:
• Shelving units
• Workout equipment
• Larger metal structures
There is a $50 disassembly fee per item.
Inside Pickup
If metal items need to be removed from inside a residence, there is a $50 per item fee.
Additional charges may apply for:
• Multiple flights of stairs
• Heavier or more labor-intensive removals
Commercial & Contractor Pickups
Businesses and contractors often generate larger amounts of scrap metal.
Because these jobs usually involve larger loads and longer pickup times, a $50 baseline service fee may apply depending on the scope of the job.
For businesses that regularly produce scrap metal, we offer scheduled pickup memberships.
Examples include:
• Monthly pickup: $50 per month
• Weekly pickup: $200 per month
This allows businesses such as auto shops, contractors, and warehouses to keep their scrap areas clean and organized with regularly scheduled service.
As the program grows, there are plans that Membership clients will receive appreciation perks .

Why Some Pickups Have Fees
Many people are surprised to learn that scrap metal often has very low value.
For example, common scrap steel currently averages around $0.09 per pound, which means items like BBQs may only be worth $3–5 in scrap value.
Our business works because we collect large quantities of metal across many pickups. Smaller pickups or jobs that require additional travel or labor may include small service fees to help cover fuel and operating costs.
We always aim to keep our services fair and transparent while making metal recycling accessible.
Important Notes
• Free pickup is available when there is a reasonable amount of scrap metal.
• Small pickups may require a $30 service fee.
• A $30 no-show fee may apply if we arrive for a scheduled pickup and the metal has been removed without notice.
• Photos are the fastest way for us to confirm pickup details.
